It is crucial to understand that we have profited from our society. Our community has played an important role in shaping up who we are today. We need to stop and ponder over what we are returning back to the society that made us. It is important to give back to the society simply because we have taken so much from it.
” My parents taught me a very important thing, giving back to the society that gave us it’s all. From a very young age, they taught me the importance of paying back, to teachers, workers, to the environment, etc. They didn’t just preach, but practiced it too, which made it easier for me to learn. They taught me the importance of ‘GIVING’ From a very young age, I started donating, clothes, food, and basic essentials, with help from my father. Having friends who had the same ideology of ‘giving back’ helped in its own way. Many of my friends and acquaintances are associated with NGO’s that help the needy. “
Giving basically means distributing something that you possess. This could be anything, e.g., clothes, food, stationery, books, knowledge, or even time. To give back means to allocate your time and resources to those less fortunate.
What is important to understand is that when you give back, you aren’t going to be benefited by it. There won’t be any profits for you. The biggest award that you will get is the realization that you have made a positive change in someone’s life.
